Loose Egusi is a monthly show and blog celebrating African music of the past, present, and future, on the continent and across the diaspora, hosted by The Repeat Beat Poet. The first half is a free-for-all of grooves and flows hand-picked by the RBP and the second half of is the Ear To The Ground' segment where the RBP selects a different African country each month for a deeper dive into its music and history.

PJ aka the Repeat Beat Poet is a British-born Ghanaian broadcaster, Hip Hop artist, and writer. His debut pamphlet, 'A Testament To Life And Death' was published in February 2022. PJ is the show runner of the multi-award nominated Lunar Poetry Podcast (archived in the British Library, featured on BBC 4Extra). He runs a jam night & label 'Imaginary Millions', and since 2017 has hosted his own poetry-led RepeatBeatBroadcast, playing the poetic and eclectic, lyric-led and groove-grounded, African and afro-diasporic music on a variety of independent radio stations We are super excited to officially welcome PJ to the Crew with his new monthly show - Loose Egusi!
